To become a veterinary surgeon in Europe
To become a veterinary surgeon in Europe, the European veterinary universities usually take five to six years for completion. With curricula intensifying and a growing need for more extended practical training the time for completion is now tending to be longer. Europe has around 100 faculties were you can study with different admission criteria. 
The main prerequisite to be admitted to veterinary medical universities is to have high schools certificate with good grade in Biology and chemistry. Good marks in Chemistry and Mathematics is an advantage. 
The candidate must the language of study (English, French or national language). Some universities organize entrance examination or interview.
The available knowledge and techniques in the veterinary field are increasing rapidly, and many schools are now considering or have incorporated a differentiation (tracking) of their veterinary degree. Tracking provides a means for students to concentrate on certain areas of veterinary medicine, while others are studied to a lesser extent.
Admission to veterinary medicine

Admission to veterinary medical study abroad has become more and more competitive. Prospective veterinary medical student must have finished high school with good grade in Biology and Chemistry. Even if some universities accept students with less than perfect grades if they perceive that they have a passion for the subject and they can demonstrate their ability in other ways, most veterinary medical universities require also good grade in Physics or Math.
The actual entrance requirements vary quite dramatically.  Some Universities in Central Europe often have their own entrance exams. These are typically a multiple-choice exam on chemistry and biology. If students can get a good grade at A' level in these subjects they should not have any trouble passing the exam. Others universities accept students based on application file contain, without seating for entrance examination. 
Students must be good in English, French or other medium of study. Otherwise, most medical universities offer English or national language preparatory course of one year.  The program includes not only the language study, but also basic subject for medical study such us Biology, Chemistry, Physics etc. At the successful completion of preparatory course, the students are admitted straight away to medical university course without complementally examination.
In admission to application documents, some universities organize admission interview in origin country of students,  at university or by Skype.
