In general, credit is granted for courses taken at accredited colleges and universities if they are the equivalent of courses offered by Romanian university and with a good grade (courses with a grade of C or better). There is no credit limit on the number of courses that may be transferred from an accredited university.
To transfer to upper year in university of medicine and pharmacy of Iasi, Transfer student must have at least 45/60 ECTS credits or equivalent in order to be placed in up year. The 15/60 ECTS credits must be earned by the end of next academic year.  Transfer students with less than 45/60 ECTS credits or equivalent do not pass to next year, but all credits transferred are recognized and have to pass only those missing.

Application deadline for medical schools in Romania
 
To apply to Romanian University of Medicine (general medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine, Physio-kinetotherapy, Nursing, etc.), the application deadline is different for different medical schools and medical programs.  Officially, the application period is from around March until the end of August (September), depending on the program and the citizenship of applicant students. 
 
Based on the independency of each University in Romania, each Medical school may fix the deadline for each medical program or even extend the application and admission deadline.  
 
The applications for admission to undergraduate studies in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, Physio-kinetotherapy, Nursing, etc. may be submitted until around the middle of August (for non-EU/EEA students) and around the end of September for EU/EEA students. Note that the deadline for some medical schools is around July and others universities may have 2 application deadline periods: In this case, the second application period on condition they are more seats available after the first round. 
 
The application deadline for Residency training (specialization positions) is by August for non-EU/EEA students and by end of September for EU/EEA students. The Residency entrance exam for EU/EEA students is organized in November after publication of available places by the Ministry of Health. The non-EU/EEA students are admitted to Residency in Romania by application file selection but university may also organize entrance exam.  Candidate must speak Romanian otherwise must first follow Romanian Course (6 to 9 months).
 
The application deadline for doctorate studies in Romania is August or September if more seats announced by the Academic Council of each Medical University are available.
 
The application deadlines given above remain can highly vary even within one university for different programs.  Therefore, it recommended having sufficient information about the application deadline before sending all required documents.

Pharmacy course is a 5 year program in English, French or Romania.
