Masaryk University Medical Faculty
Masaryk University Medical Faculty provides two medical programs in English language: a six-year Master Degree Program of general medicine and a five-year Master Degree Program of Dentistry.
The curriculum for General Medicine leads to a diploma degree in "Medicinae Universae Doctor" (abbreviated to MUDr., placed in front of the holder’s name). MUDr. is equivalent to M.D., i.e. Doctor of Medicine. The curriculum for Dentistry results in a diploma degree in "Medicinae Dentium Doctor" (abbreviated to MDDr., placed in front of the holder’s name). MDDr. is equivalent to Doctor of Dentistry.
Even if both programs are in English, students are also obliged to undertake training and pass examinations in the Czech language at the end of their first, second, third, and fourth years of study. This is necessary in order to be able to communicate with patients in Czech once they enter practical clinical training in hospitals.
Masaryk University Medical Faculty degrees are fully recognised in the EU, the USA and in most other countries. For information on conditions for full registration and recognition of the diploma degree in Medicine, successful graduates should apply to the local authorities and professional bodies within the country they want to practice medicine. Medical Study Tuition Fees at Masaryk University
Tuition fees for general medicine, dentistry, Physiotherapy and Optometry at Masaryk University Medical Faculty are among the medium medical study tuition fees in Europe and remain fall low compared to those in USA, Canada, and Australia, etc.
- Master Degree Program of General Medicine: 249000 CZK (approximately 9100 €) per academic year;
- Master Degree Program of Dentistry: 298000 CZK (approximately 10900 €) per academic year;
- Bachelor Degree Program of Physiotherapy: 195000 CZK (approximately 7150 €) per academic year;
- Master Degree Program of Optometry: 94500 CZK (approximately 3500 €) per academic year;
