Odessa State Medical University
Odessa State Medical University is the first university of Ukraine which started medical education in English medium in 1996. In 2005, OSMU was awarded with a medal for the development of modern model for teaching the English speaking students by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Odessa State Medical University is the only university of Ukraine which provides full undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in English medium.

The Medical University of Odessa trains undergraduate and postgraduate specialists of in General medicine, Dentistry, Paediatrics and Pharmacy in English, French, Ukrainian or Russian.
The Odessa State Medical University comprises 56 departments, a medical college, preparatory faculty (Russian, English and Ukrainian language) and post-graduation faculty.
The University enrolls around 4000 students, including 1200 foreign students from 52 countries of the world.
Clinical Base: The clinical centres of the University have 9648 patient beds. These clinical centres, which include well equipped 35 hospitals, have all conditions and facilities for practice and training for its doctors and students.
Odessa State Medical University Admission Requirements
The admission to Odessa State Medical University requires the submission of a set of documents. The admission is possible till the end of September each year, but the earlier application the better.
Available undergraduate medical programmes are:
General medicine for 6 years, in English, French or Russian;
Dentistry for 5 years, in English and Russian;
Pharmacy for 5 years, in Russian;
Several medical postgraduate programmes are available in English and Russian
Required documents for Undergraduate programmes:
1. Birth Certificate (by local municipal authority);
2. Certified copy of high school leaving diploma (class 10+2 for Indian system) or equivalent and Mark sheet;
3. Six passport size photographs;
4. Photocopy of Passport;
5. Medical Certificate with HIV test report
Required documents for Postgraduate programmes:
1. Birth Certificate (by local municipal authority).
2. Certified copy of Certificate and Mark sheet of MBBS or equivalent exam.
3. Internship completion certificate.
4. Six passport size photographs;
5. Photocopy of Passport;
6. Medical Certificate with HIV test report;
7. Registration Certificate of Medical Council;
