Medical study - Faculty of Medicine
- Bachelor in Medicine – 6 years, full-time attendance;
- Bachelor in Nursing (Registered nurses) – 3 years, full-time attendance;
- Bachelor in Nursing for Imaging and Radiology – 3 years, full-time attendance;

For the specialisation General Medicine at at Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timișoara , the first three years are dedicated to preclinical training, and the last three years to clinical training. The preclinical cycle involves the study of fundamental subjects: anatomy, histology, biology, biochemistry, biophysics. The program is a 6-year course, exclusively instructed in English, French or Romanian language
Dentistry studies - Faculty of Dentistry
- Dental Medicine – 6 years, full-time attendance;
- Dental Technique - 3 years, full-time attendance;
- Registered Nurses in Dentistry – 3 years, full-time attendance.
Dental Medicine is a practical specialty allowing graduates to practice their profession without having to complete other specialisations, as in the case of General Medicine.
Dental Medicine or Dentistry course is a 6-year program in line with EU Medical curricula guidelines (12 semesters), and is offered entirely in English, French or Romanian on the student’s choice. The first 3 year are dedicated to preclinical studies and the last 3 years to clinical studies.
Pharmacy studies – Faculty of Pharmacy
- Pharmacy – 5 years, full-time attendance;
- Pharmaceutical Assistants - 3 years, full-time attendance
Pharmacy course is a 5 year program in English, French or Romania. The first two years, based on acquiring fundamental notions of chemistry, medicine, pharmaceutical technique and pharmaceutical legislation, and the last three years, mainly focusing on subjects with pharmaceutical profile, while also containing some subjects with biomedical profile.
Pharmacy studies focuses on training students in pharmaceutical practice: pharmacies, the pharmaceutical industry, food and drug analysis and control laboratories, and clinical “bedside” pharmacy.
During the clinical studies, medical students must have a good command of Romanian language in order to communicate with patients.
All faculties offer also several graduate program as Maters, Doctorate (PhD), Residency etc.
Admission to Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy
Application for admission to Medical study at Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timișoara, is by application file selection for Non EEA students, and application file selection and biology and chemistry multiple choice examination.
Minimum application file contain:
- Application form for a Letter of acceptance ;
- Selection criteria ;
- Two authenticated copies and two authenticated translations of the high-school diploma (authenticated by the Foreign Ministry and the Romanian Embassy in the country of issue or bearing the Hague Apostille – see below the provisions regarding the Hague Apostille);
- Two authenticated copies and two authenticated translations of the transcript of records (authenticated by the Foreign Ministry and the Romanian Embassy in the country of issue or bearing the Hague Apostille ;
- Two authenticated copies and two authenticated translations (for graduates wishing to pursue post-graduate or doctoral studies);
- Birth certificate – two authenticated copies and two authenticated translations;
- Marriage licence - Two authenticated copies and two authenticated translations (if applicable);
- 2 photocopies of the ID or passport, including the page containing a valid study visa (where applicable);
- 6 Photographs (passport size);
- Health Certificate stating that specifying that the candidate has been immunised for B Hepatitis, suffers / does not suffer from chronic disorders and is mentally fit to pursue medical higher education
- complete transcripts of record with the original stamp and signature of the issuing university
- the curriculum of the faculty with the original stamp and signature of the issuing university
- the syllabus of all the subjects taken with the original stamp and signature of the issuing university
- the grading system of the university and its equivalent in the Romanian education system
