Admission to Warsaw Medical University in English
 
Admission to 4-year medical program, 6-year medical program, 5-year degree of Master of Pharmacy and 5-year Dental programs in English is based on high school certificate, bachelor diploma and  entrance exam  depending on program. 
 
4-year medical program
The 4- year program is offered for college graduates having BSc degrees, who have completed their pre-medical education and have 1200 hours of pre-med courses, e.g. general chemistry (including labs), organic chemistry (including labs), biology, physics, maths (calculus), biochemistry, genetics, anatomy etc. There is no entrance exam. The application is done online.
6-year medical program in English: for high school graduates;
5-year degree of Master of Pharmacy program: for high school graduates;
5-year Dental program: for high school graduates;
 
Admission Requirements
The admission procedure for international students depends on high school diploma: 
•Student with IB diploma – International Baccalaureate (IB issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva, Switzerland) or EB diploma – European Baccalaureate (EB - issued to the graduates of the European schools for the employees of the European Union Institution only) are admitted to Medical University of Warsaw bases   on their high school diplomas and don’t have to sit for the entrance exam.  Registration is in general from   March to the middle of July.
•Student with High School Diploma other than IB, EB or “nowa matura” diploma (“new” Polish High School Certificate) must sit for the entrance exam.  Registration is open in general from   March to the end of April.
 
Language Requirements
English is the language of instruction at the English Division of Medical University of Warsaw; therefore appliquant must be proficient in speaking, listening, reading and writing English. International students who are not native English speakers must document their language proficiency by submitting the results of a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), or a Pearson PTE Academic score.
 
Student Visa Requirement 
Nationals of European Economic Area countries or from Monaco or Switzerland may move freely. They may travel to Poland on the strength of a national passport or identity card. All other nationalities should apply for a student visa (type D) with the Polish embassy or consulate in their current country of residence before leaving for Poland, if they want to stay in Poland for longer than 3 months. Exceptions to this rule may be possible if you hold a passport or a residence permit for a Schengen country. If this is the case, please contact the embassy or consulate for more information.
